God's Power

Psalm 104:31-32
The glory of The Lord shall endure for ever: The Lord shall rejoice in his works. He looketh on the earth and it trembleth: he toucheth the hills, and they smoke.

On May 18,1980, God touched Mt Saint Helens. The effects of God's touch were magnificent. The initial explosion was 500 times more powerful than the atomic bomb that was dropped on Hiroshima. It continued to erupt with the force of one atomic bomb every second. Trees 15 miles away were ripped from the ground and stripped of bark and limbs and thrown to the ground burning. It produced 520 million tons of ash which rose 15 miles into the atmosphere within 15 minutes. As the day went on and the prevailing winds blew this cloud of ash, it caused complete darkness in Spokane, Washington, which is located 250 miles away from the volcano. And man saw all this because of the touch of God's hand.

The Almighty God gives us a glimpse of His amazing power through nature. What to Him is a simple touch, produces results that boggle our mind. Consider the possible effects of God's power at work in your life. If you open your life to His touch, He will cleanse you from your sin and give you the power to live victoriously. You may refuse to allow the touch of God in your life today, but one day you will come face to face with God's almighty power. Jesus, himself used this analogy in Luke 20:18
Whosoever shall fall upon that stone [Christ] shall be broken; but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

May God touch your life today.
